... a beautiful, blue stone suddenly appeared in a dark, dangerous forest amidst a puff of smoke. Actually, it appeared amidst a blinding flash of lightning and blue fire, which instantly turned into a puff of smoke. A young boy, who was hunting in the forest, found the blue stone and took it to his humble abode. He tried to sell it, but nobody wanted to buy it coz they didn't know how much it was worth, and they couldn't rip off a young farmboy, now could they? Anyways, one day the blue stone started to crack of its own accord, and lo and behold, out popped a dragon hatchling!
Wait a minute ... wrong story! Err sorry ...
Once upon a time, a tall, dark, handsome stranger fell in love with an exotic woman from foreign lands. The woman was very fond of this dashing specimen of a man, but her heart was torn, for she had left her love back at her homeland, and knew not whether he would one day send for her to return to him. However, the dilemma of her heart was soon settled, for she got herself knocked up and had no choice but to wed her new lover. A child was born to them; and, as the mother was delirious from the pains of childbirth, the father took it upon himself to name the child after a famous swimmer (that he must have had a crush on).
The child started to grow into a beautiful young girl, had a beer on her 2nd birthday, completed her education, and discovered that she was a pathetic swimmer, unlike her namesake. But that was not the only foreboding discovery that she made ... It was soon manifested that the mother still pined for her long-lost love and resented the child for the predicament that she was in. Devestated, the child reached out for her father, but he had long grown distant from her. Thus, the child went in search of a second family; and it was not long before she found one.
One day, whilst meandering amongst a local group of villagers, a familar chord struck her ear. Drawn by the music, the child found herself eager to belong to those who produced it. She soon discovered the source, and to her surprise, the musicians not only welcomed her, but enlisted her to their ranks as an apprentice.
Months passed. During this time the child had noticed that there was something different about this local group of villagers. They all loved each other like family, and everything they did all seemed to be done for one person; but who was that person? She had heard lots about him, and grew to quite like him, but she had yet to meet him. One night, as the child was pondering the identity of the mysterious man, she bumped into a villager whom she did not quite recognise. He had the familiar air of all the other villagers, yet he was taller ... much taller ... quite frightening actually ...
"Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father", grumbled his low voice.
"Err ... I think you're in the wrong story ..."
"I am your father."
"Mr. Dark-Lord, Sir ... I'm not a Skywalker ... The story you are looking for is in a galaxy far, far away ..."
"Hahah, just kidding ya. With the Vader gag, that is. But really, I am your father."
"Err ... what ... ?"
"Well, I'm thing King of this land. Of all lands actually. And those villagers you've been hanging with ... well, their my children. Good bunch, they are. And well, they've been telling me that you've taken quite a liking to them, and also to me; so I've decided to adopt you into the family! Though, of course, if you want to share in the inheritance, you'll have to swear fealty to me, but I know you will, so we will discuss that after the party."
And so, the once unfortunate child was instantaneously transformed into an eternally royal princess. But what became of her life ...
